Nickel alloys are mainly used in components that require extensive valve service conditions. Such conditions include environments sensitive to corrosion that would otherwise weaken stainless steel by attacking its protective layer. In the construction of valves, nickel-based alloys such as Hastelloy are often used with each type of adapted alloy by adding other alloying elements. The proportion of each alloy element is used to meet the particular need, making it stronger. The disadvantage of nickel alloys is that they are heavy, which makes them very expensive compared to basic stainless steel.
Unlike nickel alloys, titanium alloys are lightweight and have an obstinate ability to resist corrosion, which makes them the best weight metal. They gain their resistance to corrosion in a similar way to stainless steel by creating an oxide layer to protect their surface. They are particularly resistant to seawater corrosion, which is ideal for systems that prevent soiling with hypochlorite. Like nickel alloys, their main disadvantage are that they are ten times more expensive than basic stainless steel or aluminum and nickel bronze. Its highly reactive nature also makes them difficult to process unless special molding techniques are used to prevent it from reacting with oxygen in its casting and casting stage.
Nickel-aluminum bronze is a copper-based alloy containing approximately 5% iron, 5% nickel and 10% aluminum, thus providing excellent rust resistance, especially in seawater environments. Its cost is almost equivalent to that of basic stainless steel, which makes them economical. Its main disadvantage is its anodic qualities which, when used with stainless steel tubes, cause rapid corrosion of the sanitary butterfly valve in seawater.
Valve designs are considered in accordance with the latest design and future or changing customer expectations. Therefore, sanitary butterfly valves are made in such a way that they work according to your needs. This means that they completely control the flow without leaks or without functioning when they are supposed to. The valves are available in different sizes compatible with your machine.
